Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker to join our team for the 20252026 academic year in the greater Denver, CO area. This role supports students across K12 grade levels and plays a critical role in promoting student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional development through targeted support and intervention services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services to students with mental health services on their IEP including 1:1 meetings, social skills groups, etc. Support with development of FBAs and BIPs, provide crisis support as needed.
- Conduct evaluations in the social emotional area and IEP development and documentation. Provide indirect and direct services to students requiring interventions.
- Workload based on a variety of factors including mobility rate, total population of students in the building, total number of students with disabilities, free and reduced lunch, and number of providers in the building.
- Assess student needs and develop intervention plans in collaboration with families and school staff
- Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP/504 plans as needed
- Advocate for students and help remove barriers to learning
- Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of services provided
Qualifications: - Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Colorado licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Previous experience in a K12 school setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive care
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and school staff
