A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Denver, CO, for the upcoming school year. This contract role focuses on providing specialized support to students with mild to moderate speech and language needs in an onsite setting. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in school environments and possess an active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license with current Credentials (CS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students with mild to moderate speech and language impairments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Monitor and document student growth and adjust intervention strategies accordingly
- Ensure compliance with CDE standards and school policies
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Active Colorado Department of Education license with current Credentials (CS) required
- Previous experience in a school or similar educational setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language development and disorders
- Ability to work onsite full time during the school year
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
