Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time occupational therapy position is based in Yuma, AZ, serving an elementary school setting with a focus on K-8 itinerant services. The role involves onsite work providing comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and therapeutic interventions to support students' educational and developmental needs. The contract position runs from ASAP through May 27, 2026.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations using standardized assessments and clinical observations
- Delivering both direct and indirect occupational therapy services
- Participating actively in IEP meetings to contribute to eligibility discussions and individualized planning
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to tailor interventions that enhance student participation and learning
Qualifications and requirements:
- Valid Arizona State Occupational Therapy license through the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- IVP Fingerprint Card as required by state regulations
- Experience working with school-aged children in a K-8 educational setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
