Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting in Atlanta, GA. This leave contract position requires expertise in school-based occupational therapy, working closely with students to enhance their functional abilities and support their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to students needs
- Implement interventions that promote fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy goals into the educational environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy progress and compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust therapies as necessary
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience delivering OT services in school settings, preferably K-12
- Knowledge of educational laws and regulations related to special education services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and school personnel
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student populations and learning environments
