A K-12 school in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support student well-being and academic success throughout the school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with diverse student populations and contribute meaningful assessments, interventions, and counseling services within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify student needs and develop tailored intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement strategies that promote students social, emotional, and academic growth
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and review
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed to support student mental health and safety
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions effectively
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid Texas School Psychologist certification or license
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in educational settings
- Strong skills in psycho-educational assessment tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal education regulations and guidelines
