Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Gary, IN. The assignment is on a contract basis for the current school year, providing essential speech and language services that enhance student communication and academic success.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification for schools (SLP - School)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC) preferred
- Experience working with K-12 populations across diverse speech and language disorders
- Strong assessment and intervention skills tailored to individual student needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligning with educational goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Track progress, maintain documentation, and prepare reports in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Counsel and educate teachers and families on communication strategies and accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
