This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on elementary students in an inclusive school setting. Serving two elementary schools with diverse student needs, this contract position begins ASAP and runs through June 9, 2026. Candidates will work onsite for 35 hours per week, from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students across a range of disability categories in inclusion classrooms
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut SLP license required
- School-based SLP experience is essential
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; candidates with Clinical Fellowship (CF) status considered
- School district fingerprints and background checks completed per state requirements
- Familiarity with diverse disability categories in elementary education settings
- Ability to work full-time onsite during established school hours
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Must be able to complete a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
This role excludes Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). Work sites will be assigned within the district and involve serving students in general education and inclusion classrooms without specialized classrooms.
