Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time occupational therapist position is available for a contract covering a full semester, primarily supporting elementary and middle school students. The role is based in Waterbury, CT, working 35 hours per week with a flexible start date of ASAP and an initial duration of three months. There is potential for extension through the remainder of the school year.
Responsibilities include supporting students at the elementary and middle school levels, assisting with individualized occupational therapy services within a K-12 setting. The caseload will be focused on Holmes Elementary and Slade Middle School. The candidate will collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective OT interventions tailored to each student's needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut
- School-based occupational therapy experience required
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours per week)
- Completion of district fingerprinting and background check
- Familiarity with educational therapy standards and individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Upfront licensure documentation is preferred for verification during the hiring process
