Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing occupational therapy services within a K-12 school setting, this full-time contract position offers an opportunity to support elementary and middle school students in New Britain, CT. The role is scheduled for 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible, with an initial duration of three months and the possibility of extension through the remainder of the school year.
Responsibilities include delivering school-based occupational therapy interventions tailored to student needs at both elementary and middle school levels, collaborating with educators and support staff to promote student success, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements. Candidates will serve caseloads primarily at elementary and middle schools within the district.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A current, active occupational therapy license in Connecticut
- Prior experience providing occupational therapy in school settings
- Fulfillment of district fingerprinting and background check requirements
- Strong skills in evaluating, planning, and implementing therapy services for K-12 students
- Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
