Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve K-12 students within a full-time or part-time contract role in Tavares, FL. The position involves providing itinerant services across schools throughout the county, focusing on supporting a caseload of approximately 40 active students and consultations at a designated elementary school location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology assessments and interventions for a diverse student population
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations
- Travel to various schools within the district as required to serve assigned caseload
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid professional license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 40 students effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and educational staff
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates accepted for this role
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Tavares, FL, with services provided at multiple schools throughout the district
- Contract duration from ASAP through May 29, 2026
- Full-time hours preferred; part-time considered based on candidate availability
- On-site work required with the flexibility to travel between schools for itinerant service delivery
