Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized occupational therapy services within a K-12 public school setting, working with students aged 3 to 22 who have moderate to severe disabilities. The caseload includes approximately 71 students distributed across six schools, with many receiving indirect therapy services. This role emphasizes onsite engagement and collaboration with educators and support staff to enhance student participation and independence.
Location: Gonzales, Louisiana
Contract Duration: December 1, 2025 May 22, 2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with IEP teams to develop and implement therapeutic goals that support student educational success.
- Provide indirect services as appropriate, including consultation with teachers and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state licensing and school district policies.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and collaborative planning sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Louisiana is required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly those with moderate to severe disabilities, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with educational team collaboration and school-based therapy protocols.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage a comprehensive caseload across multiple schools.
