Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist to provide services within a K-12 school setting in Napoleonville, LA. The position is a contract assignment running from December 1, 2025, through May 22, 2026, with a 37.5 hour workweek. The caseload includes approximately 71 students ages 3 to 22 experiencing moderate to severe disabilities, spread across six schoolsfive serving grades K-6 and one serving grades 7-12.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to design and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions accordingly
- Maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary approaches for student success
Qualifications:
- Active occupational therapy license in Louisiana
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings
- Ability to manage a large caseload while ensuring quality services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
