Providing occupational therapy services within a K-12 educational setting offers a rewarding opportunity to support students with moderate to severe disabilities, ages 3 through 22. This contract position involves working directly onsite across multiple schools, serving approximately 71 students throughout the school year.

- Work hours: 37.5 hours per week
- School levels: 5 elementary schools (K-6) and 1 high school (7-12)
- Client population: Students with moderate to severe disabilities receiving both direct and indirect occupational therapy services
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform evaluations and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on interventions targeted to enhance students' functional abilities in educational settings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and regulations
- Provide services exclusively onsite within the school facilities (no telehealth/virtual care)
Required Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana occupational therapy license
- Experience working with pediatric patients in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 71 students distributed among multiple schools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse and significant disabilities
