Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Napoleonville, LA, this contract role spans the current school year from December 15, 2025, through May 22, 2026, providing occupational therapy support within a K-12 school setting. The position serves students ranging in age from 3 to 22 years old, many with moderate to severe disabilities. The caseload includes approximately 71 students across six schools, with a mix of direct and indirect services. These six schools consist of five elementary schools (K-6) and one high school (7-12).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy support tailored to the needs of a diverse student population with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Manage a caseload of 71 students distributed across multiple schools, offering both direct and indirect therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana COTA license is required.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex caseloads and deliver individualized therapy services.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Schedule and Commitment:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Contract-based position covering the school year (CSY)
