This full-time Social Worker position within a K-12 school setting in Chicago, IL offers an opportunity to provide critical support to students and families. Working under a contract through the school year, this role focuses on addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to enhance student success and well-being. Two openings are available, specifically serving campuses in the Lake County region.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing students social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Developing and implementing intervention plans
- Collaborating with educators, families, and community resources to support student development
- Conducting individual and group counseling sessions
- Assisting with crisis intervention and referral services
- Maintaining accurate case documentation and reports
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Social Work
- Valid State/District School Social Work Endorsement or Licensure (Professional Educator License)
- Strong knowledge of child development and K-12 school environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working within a school setting preferred
