A K-12 public school system in Alabama is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in teletherapy and in-school support for a full-time contract position extending through the 2025-2026 school year. This role involves providing speech and language services across multiple elementary and high school locations, with a caseload of approximately 50-60 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students utilizing teletherapy and onsite methods as needed.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language support.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support student communication goals within the educational environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure; candidates holding only Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification will not be considered.
- Experience working with K-12 populations in a school setting.
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and virtual speech therapy techniques.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 50-60 students while providing quality care.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Location:
- Positions are based in various schools within the Montgomery metropolitan area in Alabama, including Percy Julian High School, Wares Ferry Elementary, Bear Magnet Elementary, Dannelly Elementary, and Davis Elementary. Specific school assignments will be determined based on candidate experience.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Position duration extends from the start date through May 22, 2026.
