Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a dynamic school district located in the Oviedo and Sanford areas, east and northeast of Orlando, Florida. This contract role supports multiple schools, including high schools, middle schools, and elementary/high school splits, with a flexible assignment spanning between one and three schools depending on full-time or part-time status. The position is full-time or part-time with a focus on covering maternity leave from January through May 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language services to K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and develop appropriate plans
- Manage caseload efficiently across assigned schools
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is required
- Florida State License to practice as an SLP
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse student populations and school staff
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites as needed
