Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to work in a Seattle, WA school setting. This role focuses on providing occupational therapy services to support student development and participation in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring occupational therapy services.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and compliance with school policies.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with a valid license to practice in Washington State.
- Experience working in schools or with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices, including sensory integration and developmental milestones.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
