Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available to provide essential therapy services within an elementary school setting. This contract role is based in Renton, WA, supporting students through a comprehensive caseload at two school sites. The assignment duration extends through the school year, concluding in June 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to elementary school students.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support student progress.
- Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in school meetings and provide consultation as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Washington State COTA or OT license.
- Current fingerprint clearance through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
- Demonstrated experience working in school-based occupational therapy settings is required for COTA applicants.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:
- Onsite work at two elementary school locations operating from 9:35 AM to 4:05 PM.
- Staff are expected to be on site 15 minutes before and after school hours.
- Full-time commitment, approximately 37.5 hours per week.
