Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available serving elementary students from PreK through 5th grade in the Baltimore, MD area. This contract assignment runs from February 16, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with the possibility to extend into Extended School Year (ESY) services during July 2026. The role requires on-site presence at two elementary school locations: Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week), totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure for Speech Language Pathology Assistants
- Recent license images must be provided for verification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (PreK5th grade) preferred
- Up to 10+ years of relevant experience are considered, with pay commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support to elementary students under the scope of practice for SLPAs
- Collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists and school staff
- Manage caseload effectively across two school sites
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Engage with parents and teachers to support student communication goals
