Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contracted Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support students across multiple school settings in the Baltimore, MD area. This role serves preschool through middle school-aged students within a K-12 system and offers various full-time and part-time assignments with flexible schedules. Candidates will engage in direct therapy and collaborate with supporting clinicians to enhance student communication skills and overall educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to preschool, elementary, and middle school students.
- Deliver itinerant services at community preschool locations and on-site at assigned schools.
- Supervise and collaborate with Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A) to support caseload management and student progress.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with professional and district standards.
- Participate actively in team meetings and maintain strong communication with educational staff and families.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Maryland Professional Licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working with students from preschool through middle school (PreK-8) in educational settings.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise SLP-A or support staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to student-centered therapy.
Position Details:
- Location: Baltimore area, MD.
- Contract duration options availability: December 1, 2025 January 9, 2026 (with potential extension), February 16 May 29, 2026 (extensions including ESY possible), and March 16 June 18, 2026 (with ESY extension options).
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday) or part-time (30 hours per week, Monday-Thursday with option for 5 days).
- Assignment locations include community preschool sites, Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School.
