Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support the educational success of students by providing specialized assistance under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in an elementary school setting. This full-time, contract position offers an opportunity to work with K-8 students, supporting speech and language development to enhance communication and learning outcomes.
Location: Gadsden, AZ
Duration: Contract through 5/27/26
Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Setting: Onsite in an elementary school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying students with communication disabilities through observations and screenings under SLP supervision.
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist to address speech and language challenges.
- Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies to facilitate effective communication skills.
- Maintain compliance with all legal, regulatory, and administrative requirements related to speech-language services in schools.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 52 students from kindergarten through 8th grade, ensuring consistent support across academic levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Arizona SLPA License is required.
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (or equivalent background check clearance).
- Experience supporting speech-language services in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and therapists.
