Provide essential social work services to support middle school students in an educational setting located in Providence, RI. This part-time contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering direct support and counseling to students during the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling to middle school students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and advocate for student needs within the school environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active State social worker license and valid educator certification are required.
- Prior experience working with middle school-aged students preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students and staff effectively.
- Knowledge of school-based social work practices and relevant local regulations.
- Ability to manage a caseload and work independently onsite during established school hours.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based onsite in Providence, Rhode Island.
- Part-time schedule: 2-3 full days per week, typically from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Contract duration: January 5, 2026, through June 15, 2026.
