Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support middle school students as a dedicated social worker, providing essential direct services to address their social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This part-time contract opportunity will span from early January to mid-June, offering 2 to 3 full days per week onsite during regular school hours.
Location:Lincoln, Rhode Island
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive support to middle school students by assessing their social and emotional challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized plans to help students succeed
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy services within the school setting
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive educational environment
Qualifications:
- Active state license as a Social Worker
- Valid Educator License relevant to social work in schools
- Experience working with middle school populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Work Schedule:
- Part-time, approximately 2-3 full days per week
- Hours typically from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Onsite presence required at the school
