Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support elementary school students within a public school system in Leonardtown, MD. This contracted position covers four elementary schools, with a single position to be filled, and runs from ASAP through June 9th.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and school regulations
- Attend relevant meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams supporting student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Maryland Occupational Therapy License (MD OPT License) is required
- Experience working with school-age children preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Location and Hours:
- Leonardtown, MD, serving four elementary schools
- Approximately 7:15 AM to 3:00 PM, typical school day hours
