This opportunity is for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within an elementary school setting. The role is based in La Plata, MD, serving one position across four elementary schools. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 9th, aligning with the current school year schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to young students developmental and educational needs.
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom environments.
- Assess and document student progress, adjusting interventions to meet individual goals.
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills essential for academic success.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Maryland Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with elementary-aged children.
- Strong understanding of educational environments and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and parents.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Work Schedule:
- Approximately 7:15 AM to 3:00 PM, consistent with school hours.
