Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time, contract position offers an opportunity to provide school-based speech-language pathology services in a K-8 setting, covering an extended FMLA for the 20252026 school year. The role requires itinerant service across multiple school sites within Woodbridge, VA, and focuses on supporting diverse student needs throughout the academic calendar.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Virginia SLP license required; strong consideration given to SLPAs with a minimum of two years of experience in school settings
- Licensed VASLP credential preferred
- Demonstrated experience in school-based speech-language pathology, including service delivery for K-8 grade levels
- Ability and willingness to travel between school sites regularly
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with school staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language pathology services aligned with individual student education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver comprehensive evaluations, treatment, and progress monitoring for eligible students
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and local guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Participate in meetings and professional development activities as required
