A full-time, contract position is available for a licensed speech-language pathologist (VASLP) to provide onsite services in K-8 schools. This role involves itinerant service delivery across multiple school sites, supporting an extended FMLA absence. The position is based in Alexandria, VA, with a commitment through June 25, 2026, requiring 36.25 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students within K-8 school settings.
- Travel to various school locations within the district to provide consistent, quality care.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in virtual interviews and onboarding sessions as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and active Virginia SLP license is mandatory (submission of license screenshot required).
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience working in a school-based setting.
- Candidates holding a strong SLPA license with at least two years of school experience may be considered.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between school sites.
- Familiarity with working in itinerant roles or district-wide service delivery.
- Previous experience with the local school system is a plus but not required.
