Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support within K-12 schools in the Washington, DC area. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026, with the possibility of part-time consideration for candidates available at least 20 hours per week. The role requires on-site work with no remote or hybrid options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for elementary and middle school students
- Manage a caseload of up to 55 students, typically around 50, with services delivered across no more than two assigned schools
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to monitor progress and adjust therapy goals as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school policies
- Provide supervised support for candidates who are completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required; CFY candidates are encouraged to apply and will receive supervision
- Active Virginia SLP licensure is mandatory
- Experience working within school settings is preferred but not required
- Candidates with Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials are welcome to submit resumes for consideration
Location & Schedule:
- Assignments are located in Fairfax, VA, and surrounding Washington, DC metropolitan area schools
- Full-time hours are 37.5 per week; part-time candidates may be considered if working at least 20 hours weekly
