Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a licensed Occupational Therapist to support elementary school-aged students in a Maryland public school setting. The position involves providing therapeutic services to help students develop skills essential for academic success and daily functioning within the school environment.
Location:
- Elementary school setting in Lusby, Maryland
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services tailored to the needs of elementary students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting
- Assess student progress and adjust therapeutic interventions accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with licensing and school district guidelines
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with Maryland OPT License
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within educational teams
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to support diverse student needs
Work Schedule:
- Contract position with the current school year duration (ASAP through June 9)
- Typical work hours approximately 7:15 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
