A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Punta Gorda, FL. This role involves working closely with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders, promoting effective communication skills necessary for academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Provide training and resources to school staff on speech and language development
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal education regulations and guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 setting
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and related disorders
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to diverse student needs
