A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available working within local schools in Burlington, VT. This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language assessments and therapeutic interventions to students across various grade levels. The position requires some travel between educational sites to deliver services where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments
- Monitor and document student progress in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) planning
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and handle travel between locations efficiently
