A school district in Spartanburg, SC, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support student success through comprehensive psychological services. This role involves working directly with students, families, and educators to assess and address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The position includes travel between multiple school sites, providing a dynamic and varied work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to guide educational planning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student welfare
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and creating IEPs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Ability and willingness to travel between school locations within the district
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in school psychology
