A K-12 school in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services throughout the academic year. This contract role requires someone with expertise in school-based therapy to support students communication development within a dynamic educational environment.
Key qualifications include:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification with a state license to practice
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working in school settings, specifically grades K-12
- Ability to conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy tailored to student needs
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with educators, families, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement IEP goals aligned with academic standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development as required
