This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position supports K-12 students within Jefferson Parish schools in the New Orleans, LA area, with a focus on elementary schools on the west bank. The contract runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, providing consistent work Monday through Friday aligned with the school calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students aged 5-18 across multiple schools, with caseloads primarily in elementary settings.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student communication needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience working in educational settings with school-age children.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Location & Schedule:
- Position based in New Orleans, LA, supporting schools within Jefferson Parish.
- Full-time, 35 hours per week; 7 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
