A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the current school year in a K-12 school located in New Orleans, LA. This contract role focuses primarily on elementary schools on the west bank and involves working on-site with students across the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in elementary and other grade levels as assigned
- Assess, diagnose, and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' speech and language development
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports according to school policies
- Participate in meetings and professional development as required by the school calendar
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload effectively
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours/day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Monday through Friday, following the school calendar
- On-site position in various schools with a focus on elementary campus placements in New Orleans, LA
