Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing specialized speech-language support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing requires both clinical expertise and cultural competence. This role delivers full-time speech-language pathology services in a regional day school program focused on Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, supporting their communication development through teletherapy methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services via telespeech and teletherapy platforms to K-12 students
- Support communication goals tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within the regional day school program
- Collaborate with educational and support staff to develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain ongoing documentation aligned with educational and clinical standards
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapies as needed to optimize outcomes
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Therapy (DHHT)
- Experience working with DHH students preferred
- Strong teletherapy skills including proficiency in telespeech platforms
- Ability to engage K-12 students remotely and adapt therapy approaches to meet varied learning needs
