Providing specialized speech-language pathology services through teletherapy, this contract role focuses on supporting students within a regional day school program for the deaf serving K-12 learners. The position is based in the Dallas, TX area with an assignment in the neighboring city of Mesquite. This full-time role requires commitment from the start date through late May.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver teletherapy speech-language pathology services tailored for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH), utilizing American Sign Language fluency.
- Support individual and group sessions for school-aged children in a specialized educational setting.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance communication outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with program standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Therapist (DHHT) is essential.
- Experience working with DHH students or in related programs is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills useful for remote therapy services.
