Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student needs

Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress

Provide direct therapy sessions and document student progress

Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations regarding special education services
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current Colorado SLP license required

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Colorado school districts
