What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
- Provide direct therapy services through individual and group sessions across multiple school settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insights to educational planning processes
- Adapt classroom environments and recommend assistive technology to support student participation
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies to maximize functional outcomes
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on therapeutic techniques and accommodations
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Professional Occupational Therapy License (required)
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of pediatric conditions and school-based therapy practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Experience working in educational settings strongly preferred
- Understanding of special education laws and IEP processes
