Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student needs

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success

Provide direct and indirect therapy services as outlined in student IEPs

Document progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal education laws and policies
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current Texas SLP license required
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Texas school districts
