Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth

Conduct therapy sessions and track progress toward IEP goals

Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations

Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations for special education services
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current Texas SLP license required
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Texas school districts
