Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
There is a full-time contract opportunity available for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Plymouth, MN. Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing qualified professionals for this school-based position. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and experience supporting students with diverse speech and language needs. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is highly preferred.
To be considered, applicants must meet all local and state requirements for SLPA licensure and certification in Minnesota. Prior experience working with special education students and their families is also preferred.
Responsibilities:

Assist a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in delivering therapy and implementing treatment plans

Support students in achieving speech, language, and communication goals as outlined in their IEPs

Provide direct therapy services under supervision, both individually and in small groups

Collect and record accurate data on student progress and assist in preparing progress notes and reports
-
Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and other team members to reinforce communication strategies throughout the school day

Prepare and organize instructional materials, AAC devices, and assistive technology for student use
-
Model appropriate speech and language techniques and support communication carryover in daily routines

Participate in staff meetings and professional development as requested
