Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Job Duties

Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans to improve students communication skills

Support students in individual and group therapy sessions

Collect and document data on student progress under the supervision of a licensed SLP

Prepare therapy materials and assist in maintaining a positive and organized learning environment

Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students educational goals

Adhere to district, state, and federal regulations related to speech-language services
Federal and State Requirements

Associates or Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field

Active North Carolina SLPA license required

Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting preferred

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Must pass all background and fingerprinting clearances required by North Carolina school districts
