Role Summary
As an Occupational Therapist in Thornton, CO, you will provide school-based therapy services to students, focusing on improving fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills that support academic participation and independence. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and IEP teams to ensure students reach their fullest potential.
Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and goals
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
Provide direct and consultative therapy services in classroom and small-group settings
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Requirements (Colorado)
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
Active Colorado state OT licensure
Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
