Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team for the 20252026 school year. This is a full-time, school-based position working with K12 students in the Lake County, FL area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students succeed in their academic environment by supporting the development of fine motor, sensory integration, and daily living skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans based on student IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the planning of therapy goals
Qualifications: - Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Florida COTA license or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities
