Role Summary
As a COTA in Tavares, FL, you will provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a variety of school settings. Working itinerantly, you will support students across multiple campuses, collaborating with OTs, teachers, and families to promote independence and participation in school activities.
Responsibilities
Implement individualized occupational therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed OT.
Provide direct therapy services to students with physical, sensory, or developmental needs.
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as recommended by the supervising OT.
Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to support student participation and success.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Requirements (Florida)
Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active Florida COTA licensure.
School-based experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Employment Details
Local Contract
Full-time, itinerant role across Tavares, FL area schools.
Hourly rate: $35$38/hour, depending on experience.
