Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide essential services in an elementary school setting within Boston, MA. This is a contract position lasting through the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible until May 29th, 2026. The role involves supporting students in a Dual Language School as well as another nearby elementary school, approximately a quarter mile apart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to the needs of elementary-aged students.
- Manage a caseload across two school sites, ensuring consistent and effective therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress and services provided.
- Comply with state licensure requirements and school district guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure.
- Experience working in school-based therapy settings preferred.
- Comfort and willingness to work within a Dual Language School environment; familiarity with bilingual or multilingual student populations is an asset.
- Ability to manage travel between two nearby school locations during working days.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the school team.
Location & Hours:
- On-site position based in Waltham, MA, close to Boston.
- Workdays are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, totaling 24 hours per week.
