Speech-Language Pathologist Job Duties

Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders

Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state regulations

Provide direct and consultative services to address student needs effectively
Federal and State Requirements

Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Active North Carolina SLP License and CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
