Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K12 students in a school-based setting in Tampa, FL. This full-time, onsite position is for the 20252026 school year and offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance student success and independence.
Position Details:
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

Implement therapy programs and activities that support students fine motor, sensory, and functional skills

Assist in documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
-
Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to support student IEP goals
-
Adapt classroom materials and strategies to promote student participation and independence

Maintain compliance with school district, state, and federal guidelines
Requirements:

Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Active Florida COTA license
-
Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively with school teams and follow OT directives
